The Odyssey

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 10

This quest marker will pop up sometime after completing the quest “ A Tithe By Another Name “, sppearing in the slums southwest of the Sarapeion, near some stables. Approach and you’ll find the Priest of Serapis in hiding, who is in a bit of legal trouble after the last task Bayek performed for him. Since Bayek can’t protect him forever, the two decide he’d best go into hiding, instead, and fortunately there’s a temple on the northern island of Alexandria where he can shelter for the time being. Your task is simple: get him there in one piece.

The rest of the quest is simple enough to explain, you merely have to escort the priest to the objective marker. He can’t be killed, but if guards spot you, you’ll need to kill them before the priest will advance. A mount will speed this process up, and the priest will automatically ride with you if you wait for him to do so, but if he gets hit or shot on horseback there’s a good chance he’ll fall off, so don’t expect riding to allow you to bypass guards. When you arrive at - or near - the objective marker, speak with the priest to end the quest.

Reward: For completing the quest “The Odyssey”
800 XP

The Stone Gaze

Now that you’re done with these quests… why not solve the riddle presented in “The Stone Gaze” Papyrus Puzzle and claim the treasure it hides? The text is as follows:

“In the south section of Mareotis Lake there is an island full of ruins. A man stares at me all day, it’s quite a bother, so I’m hiding behind a column that blocks his site.”

The island with ruins mentioned in the riddle is fairly obvious - it’s the one with the fast travel point and the “Lost Crypt” point of interest on it. As for the “man staring at me all day” bit, climb onto the ruins and make your way to their southern end to find a statue of a seated Pharaoh looking to the south. Sure enough, there’s a squat, broken pillar south of the seated statue as well, so hop down and head to the southern side of the pillar and search the ground there to find the treasure.

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
