Family Reunion

Suggested Level: 2

You can start this quest via the Informant Table at Hepzefa’s home. Once started be sure to track the quest to find out that your objective is to locate and rescue a man named Tenemun and some farmers. First things first, the “find” part of the quest. Take control of Senu and fly towards the indicated area (follow the yellow quest circle) and when you approach you’ll get a tutorial telling you how to locate targets with Senu. Simply put, it’s a game of hot-and-cold with a yellow reticle. The closer you are to your target, the smaller the reticle will get. Simply follow the reticle until you find your target, then, if you want to make things easier for yourself, hold down [L2]/[LT] to enter hover mode, which will allow you to remain stationary as Senu and look for enemies. Enemies spotted this way will be instantly tagged, so you can better avoid them… or catch them unaware.

Once all that’s done, take control of Bayek again and make your way east towards the camp where Tenemun is being held. Scale some cliffs and make your way around the northern edge of the Temple of Amun to reach the camp where Tenemun is being held. Infiltrating the camp by climbing the cliffs near the wooden watch tower west of the stone watch tower overlooking the cage where Tenemun is being held isn’t a bad idea, as there’s some grass nearby you can hide in, and more importantly, you shouldn’t be flanked by any foes if you start from this western area and work your way east. Be wary, though, as this is a restricted zone, meaning enemy soldiers will attack you if they detect you.

This is also a good chance to test out your sneaking and combat abilities, and frankly, both of them are heavily weighed in your favor at this point. Enemies will investigate fallen friends, but won’t raise larger alerts, nor seem overly concerned about the violence for long. Foes tagged by either aiming at them with a bow, or by looking at them while in control of Senu will have a shield icon over their head, and you’ll be able to see their outline through walls. Finally, nearby enemies will cause the edge of the screen to glow white in the direction in which they are located, helping prevent any accidents.

Sneak your way to where Tenemun is located, dispatching soldiers as you go, and make sure the way is clear, because you’ll won’t be able to be as sneaky leaving as you were entering. When the coast is clear, open the cage to find Tenemun, who is in no condition to walk out of here. Pick him up by holding down [Triangle]/[Y], and walk brazenly out of the camp. Once outside, speed things up by calling your mount (hold [Down] on the directional pad), place Tenemun on the back of your mount with [R2]/[RT], then ride the beast south to Tenemun’s farm… or rather, make your way back west along the cliffs, then follow roads south and southeast through Siwa.

However you manage it, when you arrive at the farm you’ll find that it’s in no better condition than Tenemun himself. Ride near the marked peasant and dismount when prompted to chat with the aforementioned peasant, after which grab Tenemun off your mount and head to the marked location to complete the quest.

Senu can spot your mission targets by zoning in on them (left). When you find Tenemun, carry him away from the camp (right).

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
