Overall description

Detroit after the catastrophe is playable in the multiplayer. There are a lot of cars that are scattered across the map. This is one of the maps that balances really well both close quarter combat and long range. There are many buildings all around the map while the center (mostly) is open perfect for Assault Rifles and Snipers. Most of the map is flat (only one level) but there are elevations like trailers and such that give you a bigger range and long POV.

Action areas

The areas where all the action mostly take place are (non-objective game types like Free-for-All and Team Deathmatch/Kill Confirmed):

  • The cubicle in the dead center of the map. There is this large cubicle that has an opening in the roof and has a door on two sides. Even though this is a horrible area to hang out, people tend to be here. Also this place is used to cross from one side of the map to the other without having to go all the around. There are really no good places to be here besides the small door going to the parking lot to the northeast of the map.
  • The open area to the southeast is a respawn point and its a place where everybody seems to hang out. There is a large container on both sides of the road which oversee the cubicle noted in the point above so its easy to take out enemies. You can guard pretty easily all three mayor paths from here which is good. The little room to the left of this area is also a room where most people run through to get to this corner of the map instead of going out in the open so be careful.
  • The northern building. Since the other respawn point is in the northwestern corner people go through this building and exit either through the main entrance or through the window in the room next to it. These exits can easily take out enemies around the cubicle and in the hallway directly south of the main entrance so its a strong point and a place where you’re highly exposed due to the lack of cover.

Hardpoint

The following is a list of the hardpoints in the map and how to approach each one:

  • The little cubicle of death. There is really no good ways to approach this nor to defend it. This area is so open that you can get shot from anywhere.
  • Approach this hardpoint from the western entrance. Not many people come here and the defenders usually protect only the east and north so that leaves the western entrance.
  • This parking lot is easy to defend and rather hard to take back. The absolute best way to approach it is from the staircase on the lower left side of it. The main entrance to the south and left are out of the question so going through the staircase allows you to take out the enemies peeping from behind the wall to the right and toss a grenade or two.
  • Another hard hardpoint. Enter the little room adjacent to the hardpoint (toss grenades in here first) and take out the enemies starting from the ones to the west. You can also crouch and shoot the enemies on the south side of the hardpoint from outside the hardpoint to the right, behind the trailer.
  • Another hardpoint that is a pain to get. This is a room where everybody goes into and has no idea what’s going on. Enter from the left side of it. This gives you the best line of sight to take out enemies, but be careful of all the grenades that will be flying around in here.
