Overall description

Terrace is a breath of fresh air thanks to the way its laid out and it’s set up at night time too. The map consists of several buildings built on the side of a mountain so there are elevations and obviously the higher you are the higher the odds of surviving a gunfight. This it the map where Snipers and Assault Rifles really shine. There are several corridors that connect the lower and upper parts, which are perfect for Shotguns and SMGs but since people hardly use these there’s no point in bringing one.

Action areas

The areas where all the action mostly take place are (non-objective game types like Free-for-All and Team Deathmatch/Kill Confirmed):

  • The central building is the only building you can go inside, making it the reason everybody wants to be in here. there are several ways to come in here but the best way is using the stairs to the north, which you can access by going north from the pool down below. Note that there’s counter desk in this room and its where people take cover from the fire. Use the height of the room to your advantage and double jump out of the way.
  • The rooftop on the western side of the map is another point people fight a lot for. It has visibility of all the northern side of the map and most of the southern as well. The wall that surrounds the rooftop provides excellent protection and given there’s holes in the wall for you to shoot back makes it even better. It’s recommended to get up here from the cliff to its west.

Hardpoint

The following is a list of the hardpoints in the map and how to approach each one:

  • The pool is a really difficult hardpoint to approach because it has all the ledges on top where enemies will come from, it has the open area around the pool itself and it has 3 other ways to get here. Use the corridors behind the pool to minimize your casualties and to spot the enemies from afar.
  • This little rooftop makes it impossible to approach from the northeast and southeast. Your only bet is to approach it from the cliff to its left. Although a bit difficult as well, its your safest bet.
  • This hardpoint is really similar to the previous one. Approach it from the stairs to the east or the ones right underneath it.
  • Another difficult hardpoint. Enemies can oversee the whole west and east sides of the map, which makes it a pain. Hop on the little roof south of the hardpoint (between the hardpoint and the main central building) and jump up to the hardpoint.
  • The only hardpoint located indoors. Use the tunnel and stairs that connect this building to the pool. Its your safest way to get here. That or toss grenades through either entrance and boost jump inside to spot and kill any enemies lurking inside.
