Aeolus Vale (Present)

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You can find the continent with Aeolus Vale on it to the southwest of Providence. At the southern tip is a large tower, called Ventus Tower, that you can’t enter right now, so ignore it and head north. Ignore all of the side paths except for the first “screen switch,” as the path the left of that will eventually lead to a chest containing a Rockbomb Heart . Enter the town of Aeolus Vale now and head into the inn as your first stop, opening the chest behind the counter (requires Magic Key) for 540 gold coins .

Cross the bridge to get to the other side of the town, entering the building. There’s nothing on the first floor, although the NPC with green clothing functions as an item shop, so climb the stairs to get to the second floor. You can find a Seed of Life in the chest by the stairs going up, as well as 10 gold coins in the chest in the weapon shop. There are three more chests in the armor shop, all of which require the Magic Key, that will get you a Garish Garb , Silver Platter and 320 gold coins . That’s all you can do here for now, so exit the world map via this side of the town and make the small trek north to get to the Sanctum of the Cirrus.

Before heading inside the actual building, loot the chest to the right of the main entrance to nab a Mini Medal (#73) . Go inside and head through the door at the far end, where you can find two Hexicons on the bookshelves in the first room on the left. You can break all of the barrels in the one room to find a Meaty Treat and the one room to the south of that has two chests ( Mini Medal #74 and Seed of Life ), as well as a Blue Fragment . Now, exit this area and go upstairs until you get to a room with the rotating wall. Hit the switch and go to the southwest corner for some Yggdrasil Dew . Remember where the Sacred Stone was in the past? Well, now there will be a Yellow Fragment laying on the ground, so go there and grab it.

If you speak with the woman blocking the door where you picked up the tablet piece, she will open the door. At the very top is a teleportal that is behind a locked door. This would take you back to the Shrine of Mysteries, but you can’t open it right now. Alright, it’s time to move on with the main story, so return to the Shrine of Mysteries and place the pieces you have on the final yellow pedestal to arrive in the next area.
