This is a very short mission, as it’s nothing more than a boss fight against General Qator once again. The fight is pretty much the same as the last time you fought him in Togoreth Stronghold, except that his MA will not overheat and fall to the ground, so you will have to make do with the short glimpses of Breaksights that will present themselves.

Completing the SO to land attacks will net you the Ribbon (left) which is well worth doing. If you manage to catch a Breaksight, it will cause Qator to land allowing you to hit him with multiple Breaksights (right).

If you’re having trouble remembering the previous battle with Qator, you’ll get a fresh reminder that he is fast, but he doesn’t attack while moving. He can shoot purple spheres of energy at you, which aren’t too hard to dodge if you wait until they’re about to hit you, since they do home in a little bit. Besides that, if close enough, it will stop moving for a split second and then try to divebomb you, after which there will be a short Breaksight opportunity.

You will also have to be careful of its attack where he flies straight across the arena, as well as its machine gun and missile barrages. As long as you keep locked-on to Qator, then you can dodge most of his attacks with relative ease, waiting for those brief Breaksight opportunities. The mission will be over whenever you defeat Qator. If all else fails, use an Eidolon or a special attack on him.

You will gain the Fire BOM-II spell upon completing the battle. You cannot select the “Return to Akademeia” option either so you must traverse back on foot or via chocobo. Head home when you’re ready using the yellow marker as guidance.

In an act of unprovoked aggression, the Militesi Empire invaded the Dominion of Rubrum. Imperial dreadnoughts swarmed the skies, assailing the unsuspecting countryside under the banner of the White Tiger. From amidst the flames of the besieged dominion, the Vermilion Bird rose in defiance, her crystal granting magic and mighty eidolons that her disciples might cast out the technologically advanced aggressors. Thrust into the tumult of war, the fate of the world and its four crystals now rests on the shoulders of fourteen brave, young warriors.
