The key to this battle is of course the Dragon Veins, which “ Flatten a levee “. Using these Dragon Veins will let you destroy the walls on the opposite side of the map, which is why our army is split into two groups. You want to make sure you have a royal (or two) on each side for this reason. This mechanic also happens to give us the ability to control our own access to enemy units, which can be a good thing when it comes to taking out enemy units methodically.

The map is split into two separate halves. The right side is more magic-oriented while the left side is more melee-oriented, so you can suit your characters to match. Send an archer to the right side of the map, as there will be some flying reinforcements over there including Subaki , who will fall easily to any archer on your team. You should also bring a fast unit (a Hero would do the job) to take care of Hana, whose speed will probably prevent you from double-hitting her.

The other thing you can tell from the map is the three Launcher units to the north. The two Mechanist enemies are controlling one each so each side needs to watch out when they are in range. This goes double for squishy units (healers, Azura), as they can take up to twenty hit points of damage . They also tend to target anyone who is grouped up together. You only really have to watch out for these once you get past the first few walls but still be careful of them and keep your healers (and flyers) out of range. Prioritize the Launcher users so that you don’t have to suffer for very long.

Once you’ve divided your team properly, with each having a healer, it is as simple as using the Dragon Veins on one side to open the way for the other team. The first few will be easy, but always focus on taking out the enemy when you need to. Also, note that you can often draw enemies to attack you over the wall. Just be sure you can attack them in return.

The most important thing you can do in this battle is take it slow so you won’t get overwhelmed by reinforcements. Around turn four, Onmyoji reinforcements will show up at the bottom of the right field. Turn 5, two Falcon Knights paired up arrive in the far east. Turn 7, you’ll finally get some enemies on the left with two Blacksmith paired up by the westmost pair of fortresses. Turn 8, two Oni Chieftains will appear in the middle two castles on the left field. Be sure to clean them up quickly to prepare for Turn 10!

Turn 10 is going to add a ton of enemies. Eight in total, all over the map. Two Oni Chieftain at the top left of the map, two Blacksmith right where the Oni Chieftains just were, two Automatons at the bottom of the right map, and finally two Onmyoji at the top right map.

Lastly, there are two more reinforcements on Turn 11, with a Mechanist at the top left and a Falcon Knight to the right. That will be the last of them.

Move slowly upwards, taking out the reinforcements as you go, and be extra defensive around the Launchers. Then you can defeat Sakura and Yukimura , Seize, and claim victory.
