The Sniper may have a history of being overshadowed and subpar, but this time around the Sniper is one of the most powerful classes in the Hoshidan set and is well worth considering. With buffed innate Critical, Snipers will be landing critical hits frequently if equipped with the right type of yumi/bow. Bowfaire, like any other “-faire” skill, is certainly worth picking up for any unit investing in the yumi/bow. The Sniper also has very high Skill and so any unit investing in Sniper can make use of random chance skills that utilize the Skill stat and still trigger often.

Just be sure to, as usual, keep the Sniper away from enemies that can hit them up close, where they can’t counterattack. And keep them away from magic attacks since they will run low Resistance. Sniper is a class that can benefit greatly from Counter and Countermagic.
