Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Yian Kut-Ku

By
Vincent Lau

One of the larger Bird Wyverns, Yian Kut-Ku wields cute, little fireballs as its elemental power (causes Fireblight!), and still retains its chicken-like habits that are reminiscent of all flying Bird Wyverns. It is known for its large beak and frills. Its favorite food is Konchu. Skittish and forever curious, Yian Kut-Ku will often bluff to make itself appear larger and more formidable than it really is.

Areas: Everwood

Attacks

Tail Whip: Despite its short tail, Yian Kut-Ku will still do the double 180 tail whip.

Fireball Spit: Yian Kut-Ku will spit one cute little fireball in front of itself. It will splash and then wink out of existence.

Fire Ball Spread Shot: Yian Kut-Ku will stand stationary and spit out four fireballs in a spread. This is a good opportunity to stand by its legs and attack.

Hop Back: Not so much an attack, but it does cause low wind pressure.

Triple Peck: Like all other larger Bird Wyverns, Yian Kut-Ku can run forward and then peck at you three times.

Side Chomp: A minor attack that you shouldn’t worry much about, does negligible damage.

Fireball Belch-and-Run: Yian Kut-Ku will run forward like a headless chicken, and spit cute, little fireballs as it goes.

Running Attack: Yian Kut-Ku will run towards you in an attempt to bowl you over.

Flying Charge: If Yian Kut-Ku is far from the hunter, it will try to fly towards you and send you flying.

Breakable Parts

Ears: Yian Kut-Ku’s wide, frilly ears will be laid back and tattered.

Weaknesses

Elemental: Ice, Thunder
