Unlike Felynes, Melynxes will attack you even if you never touch them. They gather mostly in the cat shrines, and if you run into them there, they won’t disturb you. They will also dance around campfires.

Areas: Ancestral Steppe, Sunken Hollow, Primal Forest, Frozen Seaway, Heaven’s Mount, Volcanic Hollow

YOU THIEVING CAT GET BACK HERE WITH MY STUFF Attack: Melynx will swipe at you with their cat paw staff and steal a random item from your bag. Sometimes it’s useless, like a Stone. Most of the time it’s incredibly valuable, such as your Map or your Farcaster. To get your item back, attack them.

Failed to get your stuff back and the Melynx escaped? Don’t worry. The cat shrine is where they’ll stuff their stash, and if you go there you can get it back.
