Nargacuga is a wildly popular Flying Wyvern who definitely won’t remind you of Batman. The trademark of the Nargacuga is its swift speed, deadly grace, and its multipurpose and lethal tail, which it will use as often as its front end to slam into the ground and shoot spikes out of. Yikes!

Many of Nargacuga’s attacks are swift and precise. This makes it difficult to predict and plan for, but as you practice, you will find that the shortness of its attacks makes it pretty easy to dodge because the number of frames the hitbox is active is pretty much the same length as the invincibility frames a standard dodge has (and in the case of Evasion+1, you have more moments of invincibility than Nargacuga has to damage you).

Nargacuga is weakest to Thunder and Fire.

Attack Explanation
Side Chomp Weak and pitiful, Nargacuga will chomp to the side a little bit. While the attack in and of itself is not a big deal, Nargacuga’s entire body becomes a hitbox, including even the tail, during this attack, rather than just the head/neck area. So be warned.
Pounce Nargacuga will pounce forward. Like a cat.
Pouncing Charge Nargacuga will assume the hunting poise of your house cat about to catch something, and then will begin a series of pounces that allow it to charge at you across the stage. Nargacuga will pounce up to three times.
360 Spin Nargacuga will wind up briefly and then spin rapidly, whipping its tail around as it does so and inflicting a lot of damage. Positioning yourself carefully right beneath it can let you dodge the attack without letting up on the combos! This attack is often used as a finisher for the pouncing charge if Nargacuga is enraged.
Tail Sweep Nargacuga will whip its tail at you briefly. This attack’s hitbox frame length is impressively short, making this a great attack to practice dodging if you’d like to master invincibility frame dodging.
Tail Slam When in rage mode, Nargacuga will jump up in the air and the land heavily, extending its tail and slamming it into the ground. This deals insane damage but Nargacuga’s tail will be stuck in the ground for a bit, giving you time for free damage.
Tail Spikes Nargacuga will lift up its tail, give it a little twitch, and then fire spikes out at you. These don’t cause any status effects, but they are annoying and they deal a lot of damage.
