You’ll pick up the one and only Master Ball of the game (for free, anyway) here.

Once you enter the factory area, start heading north. When you see Trevor and Shauna off to your side, speak with Shauna and she’ll race off ahead, Trevor following suit. Your rival and Tierno will appear next. After hearing Shauna scream and getting foolishly chased by a Team Flare Grunt, it’s time to investigate.

Head north until you’re through the gate. Turn on your Dowsing Machine and head west into the western maze. Enter it by the southern most entrance. Follow the path to the dead end. At the dead end is a hidden Poké Ball . Head back out of that part of the maze. Now enter the maze by one of the eastern entrances, the lower of the two.

Head up to the northern dead end here to find a hidden Burn Heal . Now head into the maze by the final entrance. Head around until you find the non-hidden Max Ether . Head all the way out of the western maze and head to the eastern one.

Enter this maze from the north and head east. Using the Dowsing Machine you should be able to find the dead end that contains a hidden Hyper Potion . From there; head around to the non-hidden Max Revive . Once you have it; head out of the maze. Now head to the main entrance into the factory. Head on inside!

Inside you’ll find the first Grunt that will challenge you. Or not; your rival will take care of this one. Continue north up the steps and you’ll find another Grunt. Your rival’s got his or her hands full, so you will need to battle this one!

Oh no; you can’t get past the grunt now! Oh well; you’re just going to head along the Poké Ball manufacturing conveyor belt to navigate your way around. Move onto the moving conveyor belt to your west. You’ll move to an area to your west. Take on the Grunt here if you want to.

Once he’s defeated, head north past him up alongside the conveyor belt. You’ll find a Quick Ball at the end. Hop back onto the conveyor belt and move onto it from the north of the two tiles. You’ll travel north and set off into the next area.

This area’s blocked off so just get back on the conveyor belt, this time from the western of the two possible tiles. You’ll head west, then north, then east. In the new area, head over to the Grunt facing away from you and speak with her to fight her if you want to.

Once she’s out of the way, head east under the stairs; then head south down to what was an obscured item. Grab it to find that it’s Metal Coat ! Now head back to the Grunt and head north to the entrance to the next conveyor belt. Move onto it and it’ll zig zag you down south. Get off and instead of going up the stairs, head north along the ground.

Metal Coat also evolves Onix or Scyther when traded to another player.

You’ll come upon yet another item. Grab it to find that it’s a Timer Ball . Now go back and move up the stairs. Follow them north, then west, then north until you reach a point where the bridge splits into two other paths. There you’ll get challenged by another Grunt.

Now that she’s out of the way, head west until you reach the building. Head inside. Talk with the guy by the trash can to get healed . You can do this at anytime. Now head back out and move south from the building. Move down the stairs and you’ll come upon the conveyor belt switch. Interact with it and the conveyor belt will switch directions .

Now move down the stairs to the bottom and hop onto the conveyor belt. You’ll ride it east this time. From there, head up the nearby stairs, then north up the next set. You’ll see another building. Head inside! Here you’ll find three higher-ups of Team Flare arguing with the president of the factory. After a bit, the middle one, the Admin, will challenge you!

Team Flare will promptly leave after you defeat them. As a token of his appreciation for saving him and his employees the president will give you a choice of either a Master Ball or a Big Nugget. It doesn’t matter which you choose, he ends up giving you both ! Yay! Your first Master Ball!

After that; head on back outside. The bridges are cleared so just exit by using them. As you’re approaching the exit your friends will arrive. After you finish speaking with them, head back outside. There you’ll receive a Holo Clip about how the factory was just attacked. Okay, now head to Laverre City.

Heal up and stock up on items, then take the east exit out of town. Next Route, here we come!
