The Ocean Giant’s primary purpose is to create Oceans to feed Forests and Swamps. Aside from this he can place animals, but also has some of the most helpful powers in the game with his speed boosting Aurora and mass fertilising monsoon. If you’re after speeding up your Reus play then the Ocean Giant is an invaluable tool.

Power 1 - Create Ocean

  • Level 3: 1 Forest and 2 (Any) Ambassadors

Power 7 - Monsoon

  • Upgrades the fertility of numerous tiles simultaneously.
  • Cooldown: 20 Seconds
  • Level 1: 1 Desert Ambassador
  • Level 2: 1 Desert and 1 (Any) Ambassadors
  • Level 3: 1 Desert and 3 (Any) ambassadors

Choosing Ambassadors

Painfully the Ocean Giant’s upgrades are very evenly spread, meaning that he requires three of each ambassador to boost all of his skills to Level 3. With this said it’s recommended that you get him equipped with a Desert Ambassador as soon as possible, particularly for time tight developments; Monsoon will improve your ability to apply potent Aspects more regularly and make progress far quicker.

After grabbing a desert Ambassador it’s a case of focusing on what’s required. From here Monsoon will upgrade no matter which ambassadors you hoist onto your barnacled shoulders so focus on what you need more. Do you need Food from Animals? Get a Swamp Ambassador. More wealthy Minerals? You’ll need a forest. As long as you upgrade Monsoon first, you’re doing things right.
