The following sections cover the optional content and areas that you can progress/complete at this point.

Backtracking for Gold Chests in Hyland

Warp to the following locations for the final gold chests:

  • Galahad Ruins - Marron Glace - On the second floor via the western exit on B1 (triggers the Marron Glace, the Snack of Kings skit at any save)
  • Bors Ruins - Spear of Impending Death - In the northeast corner from the save
  • Marlind - Anthro Ring - At the entrance to Dumnonia Museum

Backtrack through areas of Hyland to collect gold chests.

Optional Bosses

Warp to Morgause, Shrine of the Earth Trial and enter the boss room to the north to encounter the Bison Heddin, which you can easily defeat by armating with Zaveid for an Anomalous Orb .

Warp to the 9F of the Guinevere, Shrine of the Wind Trial and make your way to the roof:

Boss: Harpy Go Lucky

HP Category Weakness Resistance
29,382 Winged None Neutral, Fire, Earth, Wind
Drops: **Anomalous Orb**

The pun-named harpy comes with some Power Links that you’ll want to focus on first, since they will constantly cast Wind Lance and dwindle your HP from a distance. Once the links are dealt with use Sorey’s Trihawk and Frigid Moon martial artes to exploit the boss’ winged category and try and keep her from casting Spirit Cage.

Unfortunately, like other harpies this boss will teleport around the field making your life difficult in terms of getting some great combos, but if you keep on her to prevent her from stunning your party members you shouldn’t have a difficult time.

Focus on the Power Links first, to stop them from using Wind Lance, and then focus on preventing the boss from casting the aoe Spirit Cage.

Warp to the top floor of the Lefay, Shrine of the Water Trial and enter the boss room:

Boss: Trickstar

HP Category Weakness Resistance
21,220 Fiend None Neutral, Fire, Water, Wind
Drops: **Anomalous Orb**

This boss doesn’t seem like much of a threat at first, but if she gets off her fast casting Geostigma spell she can wipe out anyone caught in its field of the attack. In addition, most of the characters have no attacks that exploit her Fiend category and Sorey’s only attack that does is his tier 4 Starfall martial arte.

Your best tactic is to armatize with Edna, who can do normal damage to her, and use Scrap Toss to exploit her category weakness while doing massive damage.

Avoid the deadly Geostigma (left) by armatizing with Edna and laying into her with Earth melee combos, ending in a powerful Scrap Toss (right).

Warp to Mt. Mabinogio Ruins circular hall:

Boss: Angel

HP Category Weakness Resistance
44,907 Fiend/Winged Neutral Fire, Earth, Water, Wind
Drops: **Anomalous Orb**

While this boss is weak to neutral attacks she also has a 60% chance of reflecting non-elemental damage back at you. This means that you’ll want to focus on her category weakness while armatized rather than her neutral weakness, that will result in you taking damage back.

Armatize with Mikleo for ranged attacks and use Blistering Fangs and Blinding Vortex martial artes to start a Power Hits combo that your allies can contribute to. Unfortunately, your allies will likely die a lot and leave you to do most of this fight on your own.

Keep your health high and your attacks up to prevent her from casting and you’ll hopefully be able to finish her off.

Non-elemental attacks will reflect back and kill your party, see the damage done to Rose (left), so armatize with Mikleo and focus on her category weakness (right).
