Attitude

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Attitude is a two-step process that determines your Yokai’s tendencies during battles. You can find out your Yokai’s Attitudes by looking on that particular Yokai’s medal and see the two words next to “ATTD” on the first page. The first word will determine how “lazy” that Yokai will be, and the second determines both what they do in combat, as well as their stat growth.

As previously mentioned, the first Attitude will determine on whether your Yokai will loaf or not in battle. There are only four different values that it can be and the value is placed on the Yokai whenever you recruit them. Loafer means they will loaf very easily in combat, Carefree will have the Yokai loafing easily, Stiff will have them loafing rarely and Serious will have them loafing very rarely. While it may change as you use a Yokai in fights more often, you can also give them A Serious Life book to change it; this can only be used on a Yokai once.

Other Attitudes

The second Attitude listed on a Yokai’s page will do one of two things, as mentioned above. It will determine the type of action it will take on their turn, as well as the stats that will increase as they level. It’s important to note that not all of the Attitudes can be used on every single Yokai, as some of them can’t learn them. For example, if a Yokai doesn’t have any healing moves, then they cannot learn the Gentle or Tender attitudes.
