Fishing Tourney

Fish Catching Contest

This guy isn't subtle at all...

Over the year Chip (fish and chips, get it?!) will host a fishing tourney. The premise is simple: you get prizes every time you give Chip a fish that beats the current record.

To maximise your returns you can make a note of the size of each fish you catch and hand them over in ascending order.

Every tourney starts at 9am and ends at 6pm. From 6pm to 9pm there is an awards ceremony in a tent in the town plaza. If you miss the awards ceremony, but have been awarded a trophy, you trophy will be in the mail the next morning.

Fishing tourneys occur at the following times during the year:

**Date** **Fish Type**
Third Saturday in January Horse Mackerel, Pond Smelt, or Sea Bass
Second Saturday in February Any fish
Third Saturday in March Crucian Carp, Horse Mackerel, or Loach
Second Saturday in April Any fish
Third Saturday in May Carp, Black Bass, or Sea Bass
Second Saturday in October Any fish
Third Saturday in November Carp, Crucian Carp, Black Bass
Second Saturday in December Any fish

If you smash a record and present a fish that’s above average in size for its species, you will get one of these exclusive prizes:

  • Crab Clock
  • Dab Table
  • Flounder Table
  • Football-Fish Lamp
  • Jellyfish Lamp
  • Octopus Chair
  • Puffer-Fish TV
