Assassin's Creed: Origins

Forging Siwa

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 25

You Liiiiiiike?

This quest should begin when you visit the Valley Market (southeast of the Euhemeria fast travel point), whereupon Bayek will overhear market-goers talking about some stolen Siwan goods being sold. Head over to the stall where the Siwan treasures are being sold and use your Animus Pulse to highlight a relic and a child. Investigate the relic, then talk to the child, who will quickly decide to lead Bayek to her camp, where her mother supposedly has better, less fake treasures.

Follow the girl and she’ll spill the beans as she goes, as Bayek happily encourages her budding criminal career. He’s a downright fool around children, isn’t he? Eventually she’ll lead you to a dock, where you’ll discover you’re not the first one to visit the camp today.

Your goal now is to kill the three bandits (level 25) that have the mother held hostage, two of which are dual dagger weilders, and hence, stronger than your average knave. If you continue down-river from them, you can probably take to the bushes nearby and take them out that way, or just ride a boat over and shoot them down with your bow - you’re bound to win an archery contest against them. When they’re dead, the mother and the girl will thank you, and give you a genuine imitation Siwan sickle sword… yes, it’s technically a legendary weapon, just… not necessarily a very good one.

Reward: For completing the quest “Forging Siwa”
2,500 XP

Valley Market

While it’s hard to argue with a quest that simple, if it left you wanting… something more, good news! There’s more to do at the Valley Market, something which may have a better payoff. Return to the Valley Market and head to the second level of stalls on the eastern side of the market, where, on a table, you’ll find the Papyrus Puzzle Scroll “ The Blasphemer “. Grabbing it is enough to complete this area’s location objective.

Reward: For completing the Valley Market
450 XP

The Blasphemer

Give that new Papyrus Puzzle Scroll, “The Blasphemer” a good read:

There is a place of remembrance for the unfortunate masses in north west Haueris Nome. While I rest here, immobile, I cannot escape Ra’s grace, but at least every dawn I avoid him longer than the others.

Don’t like the big bad Haueris Nome scare you, while its level range is 30-33, there’s a good chance you won’t encounter anything on your journey there, if you care to make the attempt to complete this puzzle. East of Euhemeria is a long island, at the southern end of which is Krokodilopolis. East of the northern end of this island (opposite Krokodilopolis) you’ll find the town of Philadelphia. Both Philadelphia and Krokodilopolis have mandatory fast travel points you’ll get just by getting close, so venturing to either one now will save you the bother later.

From Philadelphia you can follow a road south, or from Krokodilopolis, follow a road west, then north. Either wall, you’ll find yourself on a road running along the western coast of another, larger island east of the long island north of Krokodilopolis. Follow the road until you find another road running northeast into the interior of the island. You’ll know you’re in the right spot when you see small pyramidal structures dotting the barren hills, and if you want to avoid any guess-work, you can always send Senu to scout for you, as the numerous pyramids are easily observable from the air. Ride along the road running between the hills upon which these pyramids are perched and keep your eye to the northeast, where you can find two pyramids further up on the hill than the rest. The sun rises in the east, so you’re looking for one closer to the cliffs, which will be in the shade the longest, which just so happens to be the second furthest pyramid out. Search in front of this fun-sized pyramid to score the Papyrus Puzzle’s treasure.
