Assassin's Creed: Origins

Mortem Romanum

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 30

After doing all those other quests and working your way back up the coast of the Nile, you should find yourself ready to return to Memphis and finish what you started earlier as part of the quest “ Children of the Streets “. Make your way to the southeastern edge of Memphis and enter a small house, as the quest marker directs, then interact with a corpse lying on a mat. After Bayek’s investigation, Kawit will show up, still spitting fire and swearing vengeance. Given the situation, however, Bayek will offer to lend his blade to sate Kawit’s lust for revenge.

Leave the house and look for the trireme on your map, which should have a large search area around it, and it’ll probably be pretty far north along the Nile. Use the nearest fast travel point to get yourself close, then commandeer a boat, get within range of the search area, and deploy Senu to mark your target. The assassination is a pretty simple one, the Roman woman you’re after - who is now busy tormenting her own guards with her complaints - has but four guards (level 30) protecting her, including one elite soldier. Simply cling to the edge of the ship, whistle them over to safe assassination spots, then board the ship and put the Roman slaver out of Egypt’s misery.

Reward: For completing the quest “Mortem Romanum”
3,000 XP

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
