Genome Abilities

Genome Ability List (Part 2)

No.010 Blaster

Cost : 20 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Cannot be learned Zwart (Twilight Ruins)
Has a 50% chance of causing Paralyse on each enemy. Paralyse is a very mean ailment, rendering the victim unable to act for a number of turns. While this ability won't always work, it will be very crippling to the enemy if it does work.

No.011 Paralysing Pollen

Cost : 12 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Alraune (Florem) Alraune (Dimension's Hasp B6)
Attack one enemy; has a 75% chance of causing Paralyse. Has better odds than Blaster and does damage too, making it useful against lone enemies.

No.012 Fireball

Cost : 16 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
D'gon (Witherwood) D'gon (Dimension's Hasp B7)
A Fire-element attack on one enemy that ignores the enemy's Physical Defence. Effective against enemies with high (or even maximum) defence.

No.013 Bone Crush

Cost : 2 BP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Cannot be learned Lester DeRosso (Vampire Castle) Skull Lancer (Eisenberg)
A physical attack on all enemies that does damage equal to the enemy's Maximum HP minus Current HP. Has no effect on bosses. If an enemy has less than 50% HP, that's a guaranteed kill.

No.014 Withering Silence

Cost : 6 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Cannot be learned Kobold (Caldisla)
Attack one enemy; has a 75% chance of causing Silence. Doesn't work on bosses. A fine way of shutting up enemy spell-casters.

No.015 Earthquake

Cost : 30 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Soil Eater (Eisenberg) Soil Eater (Dimension's Hasp B5)
An Earth-element attack on all enemies that does 1.2 times damage. Good for battering enemies weak to Earth without a Time Mage or the Earth Breaker axe.

No.016 Sandstorm

Cost : 20 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Sand Worm (Ancheim) Sand Worm (Dimension's Hasp B2)
An Earth-element attack on all enemies that has a 50% chance to cause Blind on each enemy. Doesn't work on bosses. Fantastic for enemy mobs; their attacks won't be so dangerous if they keep missing!

No.017 Gastric Juices

Cost : 20 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Gastric Worm (Everlast Tower) Gastric Worm (Dimension's Hasp B8)
Attack all enemies and drop their Physical Defence by 25% for three turns. Useful against enemies immune to Fire; otherwise you'll want to use Firestorm for its better fire-power.

No.018 Rock Storm

Cost : 16 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Cannot be learned Megascolides (Everlast Tower)
An Earth-element attack on all enemies. The damage is nothing to write home about, but mobs weak to Earth won't like it.

No.019 Toxic Whirl

Cost : 12 MP

Chapter 4 and earlier Chapter 5 and later
Cannot be learned Kaiser Cobra (Everlast Tower)
An attack that does 0.75 times damage to all enemies ad has a 50% chance of causing Poison to each enemy. Damage is bad, but being able to Poison all is great (until your Black Mage learns Group-Cast All).
