Chapter 6: World of Echoes [2]

Sub-Scenario: Asterisk Rematches

Like in the previous chapter, the asterisk holders are ready for another rematch, as indicated by the numerous blue exclamation marks on the world map. In this world, compared to the previous world, the asterisk holders have slightly improved stats; however, their moves and attack patterns are the same as last time.

Because of this, you can largely use the same strategies as earlier. If, however, you find yourself struggling, we suggest you grind your characters a bit on the world map. We beat the asterisk holders with our characters at around Level 60, but you’re free to level up as high as you want.

Note : Please refer to Chapter 5 for the asterisk holder strategies.

Deadly flora or undead legions; both are easy sources of experience if tackled properly.

Note : Our recommended grinding spots are outside Florem and Eisenberg. For the plant monsters, use the Vampire’s Firestorm or similarly powerful fire attacks to set them ablaze. Meanwhile, the undead legions can be thwarted with Curaga (paired with the Salve-maker’s Healing Lore and the Spiritmaster’s Holy One for the ultimate exorcism).

Important : Some of the asterisk holders (the three Venus sisters, Braev and Alternis) will be unavailable to battle at the beginning. You’ll have to wait until after awakening the third crystal and accepting a brand new sub-scenario to fight them again.

As in the previous chapter, don’t feel as though you’re forced to battle the asterisk holders again in this world. Most of the dialogue is the same and you don’t earn much from your victories, besides a mass of job points that you can acquire by felling a bunch of world map mobs in a fraction of the time.
