Oil Drop

Oil Drop is a challenge that has you on an isolated platform, shooting whale oil tanks that are launched from train cars. In addition to the normal tanks, there are also special ones that grant various bonuses. Gold ones will slow down time, pink ones will restore some health, purple will release a cloud of smoke and green ones will give you Dark Vision for fifteen seconds. The challenge is split into five rounds, with the last one never ending and the challenge being over when you run out of health.

Getting Three Stars

There are two ways one can go about trying to achieve three stars on this challenge, either by trying to shoot all of the tanks that come out or by just surviving, shooting any tanks that come into their vicinity. The latter is a much better option, due to the large amount of tanks being sent your way in the later waves. When the challenge starts, while facing the tracks, go to the bottom left corner, which seems to be the best spot where you don’t get hit a lot.

Make sure to keep an eye out for the pinkish tanks (left), which restore health and the golden ones (right), which slow down time.

The challenge starts off pretty simple, with one tank being shot out at a time in the first round, which turns into more than one later in the round. On subsequent rounds, however, you will get multiple tanks coming out of the train car at once. Remember that your pistol only has four rounds before it needs reloading, but you can reload manually as well. Despite the laid back strategy being slightly better in the end, you still want to make your shots count and to prioritize the golden tanks to slow down time.
