Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past Guide Guide Info

Roamers Scenario

Roamers Area (Present)

Before doing anything else, head to Estard and speak with King Donald about Kiefer. Despite being disappointment in what his son has done, he hands over a Blue Fragment to you. Sail to the island where the Roamers were encamped and there won’t be much there. On the eastern side of the island is the Dig Site, so enter it and pay the man at the tent the five gold coins to be able to go inside.

The location of the small island with the Lucida Shard chest.

As soon as you’re inside, break the barrels next to you to get 17 gold coins and feel free to look at the big skull on the ground. Take the other exit and look around if you want, but there’s no way to get into the actual dig site, so ignore the tablet fragment you might see down there and hop into the well by the tent. There will be a Blue Fragment on the ground and a Mini Medal (#19) in one of the cupboards.

That’s all you can do here, so return to your ship and set sail to the tiny island that is southwest of the main island. Once you land on it, you will find a chest near a tree in the center that contains a Lucida Shard . Zoom on over to the Shrine of Mysteries and get ready for one of the tougher challenges the game has to offer!

Warning: The following scenario is a surefire difficulty spike in the game and it’s a good idea to have your party members around level 15 or so. Also, make sure you’re stocked on healing items, as you will be needing them.
