Tips

God Carpenters have one interesting final task: to craft a rocking chair for their retirement house (well, it’s for Marimo, but you can make one for yourself too).

Chat to Woody in the Royal Castele Workshop to accept this Special Request and learn the recipe for the Dreamy Rocking Chair .

To build the chair, you’ll need to scour around Mt. Snowpeak’s summit for some extra-rare materials. It’s going to be dangerous, so change to a combat-based Life and bring two allies you can trust.

The key material–the Wild Antler –is obtained from the Spinning Horn, which can be found wandering the north-eastern peak, past the Silverfang. Along the way, you will also bump into dangerous Gift-Wrapped Mimics.

Once you reach the peak in question, keep your eyes peeled for shiny Dream Shards on the floor. If possible, come here during the night (you can rest in a bed to skip ahead to night) so they’re easier to see. You should find three–the exact number you need–if you look carefully.

Of course, you can make and keep some rocking chairs for yourself too.

Eventually you should find the Spinning Horn–it’s a mini-boss and a half, so don’t let your guard down.

For its attacks, it likes to headbutt its foe. From time to time, it will charge up power and then unleash a shower of icicles around it. Finally, if you see “angry clouds” above its head, this means it’s going to headbutt three times in succession.

The Spinning Horn’s attacks are pretty painful, but not fatal by themselves. The main problem is the narrow spaces you have to fight it in, which prevents you from easily avoiding its attacks. Definitely make sure you have enough potions to go round.

Finally, if you’ve run out of Fir Beams , speak to the Leafe next to Marimo in Elderwood Village or, if you’re a Woodcutter, cut down some Fir Trees while you’re up the mountain.

Having gathered all the materials, the crafting should be a cinch in comparison. If you’re not already aware, your God Skill is amazing (it instantly completes your project); the best way to take advantage of it is to boost your Crafting S. Skill rate.

You can do so with a simple Plume Saw crafted with an Ancient Stone+ (dropped by Giant Mimics in the Trial of Time) and a God Material (eg. Love Orb) to get Crafting S. Skill rate +35% on top of the natural +25%.

Then to further boost the rate, see if you can win Leilah’s Floral Circlet (rate +25%) from the Elderwood Village Goddess Statue and get yourself a Sun Ring (rate x2) from the Exchange Clerk who’s set up base in Pam’s House.
