Campaign Missions

The Mouth of Madness

This mission starts by visiting the "Y" symbol on your map, introducing you to Yogi & Reggie, who are staying in your parents’ house. They end up drugging you, and you wake up in another place. It turns out this place is the Shanath Arena and you are going to be a participant, whether you like it or not. Basically, you will have to survive a few rounds of combat, with you starting with nothing but a knife.

You start out with nothing but a knife, so quickly kill one of the men to acquire a gun.

Starting out is kind of tough, as you will be facing off against Pagan’s men and some wolves in the first round. This is both bad and good, as the wolves will likely cause a distraction, allowing you to possibly get a Takedown on one of the men and procure their gun. Remember you start out with nothing, so you won’t have any healing syringes and very minimal ammo.

Luckily, as you kill enemies and wildlife in the arena, you will gain healing syringes. It’s best to leave the wolves alone as much as possible, letting them distract the guards, making it easier to kill them and obtain more ammo. Whenever you finish a round, quickly run around and pick up any ammo you may find, as well as heal yourself if you’ve run out of syringes.

The second round has you facing off with more of Pagan’s men, mostly regular ones with AK47s and a melee one thrown in to mix things up. For the third round, you have more men, including one with a shotgun, as well as a leopard, who will help with distractions, unless it fixates on you. The fourth round has a tiger and more men, which can be challenging, but don’t forget to use the explosive barrels laying around.

The Heavy will be your biggest threat in the final round, so use the environment to your advantage in taking him down.

As one would think, the final round will definitely be the hardest, only because it includes a Heavy Gunner. If you haven’t encountered one yet, these guys can dish out a lot of damage, as well as soak up a bunch. Concentrate on the other enemies first, leaving the Heavy for last. If possible, lure him to one of the upper ledges and use a shotgun from below while blocking his fire with the actual ledge. Finishing the final round will also finish the mission.
