Emina Sidequest

By
Claire Farnworth
&
Jarrod Garripoli

Emina Hanaharu is a former cadet at Akademeia and is now a commanding officer in the school. However, there’s someone who suspects her of being a Militesi spy and that’s what the sidequest revolves around in the game. She has a…very interesting taste in gifts which you will trying to acquire throughout the game.

The sidequest can be begun as soon as Free Time 2.2, where players can find Emina on the Terrace. Note that for the first time, as well as any future encounters, she will only be there when there’s between 2 to 6 hours left on any given day. All events surrounding Emina will take 2 hours of free time and still take time even on NG+ if previously seen on a prior playthrough. Note that your progress does carry over in between playthroughs.

The following steps are what’s needed to clear Emina’s sidequest, with them being presented in the order you need to do them.

  • Speak to Emina on the Terrace.
  • Go to Sorcery and speak with the one NPC there (not marked), who talks about Emina.
  • Speak with Emina again.
  • Return to Sorcery and speak with the NPC again, who will mention a new spell called Sheer. Note this spell isn’t an actual spell you use, but you still have it in your “possession”.
  • Give three presents from the table below to Emina.
  • Return to Sorcery and speak with the NPC to gain an upgraded version of Sheer, Sheera.
  • You now have to give 5 presents from the table below to Emina.
  • Finish Kazusa’s sidequest.
  • Speak with the NPC in Sorcery to get the last spell, Sheerga.
  • Return to Emina and speak with her, giving her presents until you can talk to the NPC in Sorcery and be faced with a choice.
  • Talk to NPC in Sorcery and pick whether you saw it or not (doesn’t matter).
  • Talk to Emina one last time.

Emina can only be found on the Terrace in Akademeia (left). Giving her different presents will let you view one of eight different scenes for each tier of Sheer (right).

In an act of unprovoked aggression, the Militesi Empire invaded the Dominion of Rubrum. Imperial dreadnoughts swarmed the skies, assailing the unsuspecting countryside under the banner of the White Tiger. From amidst the flames of the besieged dominion, the Vermilion Bird rose in defiance, her crystal granting magic and mighty eidolons that her disciples might cast out the technologically advanced aggressors. Thrust into the tumult of war, the fate of the world and its four crystals now rests on the shoulders of fourteen brave, young warriors.
