Fate is not without a sense of irony, it seems. I am commanded to hunt the amam that stalks a pond in the steppe’s western benchland—just as the rest of my family were once charged, to their doom. They are Cie’th now, and I alone am left to put an end to the abomination’s bloody reign. I am coming for you creature. I will have my revenge.
The mark for this one is an Amam - located on the Western Benchland. Head back to the stone we teleported in by and use it to teleport to the Steppe Northern Highplane. Check the map - the mark is located in the bight of the shape that looks sort of like Australia - head there now.
Amam is the evolution of Uridimmu and its ilk. He’s got a higher HP and stagger percentage, but for the most part he’s very similar in looks and attacks to the other feral foes you’ve felled to this point. He has a breath attack that will lower the attack power of your party, so you might consider a Synergist to offset the status drop. Beyond that, hit him with Ice and Earth elemental spells (avoid Wind and Thunder), juggle him when you get a chance, and don’t let his fairly forceful strikes deplete your health too far.
