Back at the residence, collect the Phoenix Down just to the left then examine the terminal to continue the story. After a few more scenes, control resumes with a battle against PSICOM. A never-ending supply of troops patrols the house and, while this may seem like a good spot for power-levelling, there is a far better place in the next chapter. Collect the two Treasure Spheres containing a Brawler’s Wristband (on the right side) and an Ethersol (on the left side). Give Lightning a Doctor’s Code if you wish.

Your party for the upcoming boss will be Light, Fang and Hope. Prepare these paradigms.

Boss Battle: Havoc Skytank

The Havoc Skytank is fought at the end of Chapter 7 outside Hope Estheim’s home.

Havoc Skytank Stats
Level / HP LV 56 / 441,000 HP
Strength / Magic 218 STR / 0 MAG
Stagger / Chain Res. / CP none / 95 Chain Resistance / 1,800 CP
Vulnerabilities Wind (Immune)
Common Drop / Rare Drop Uranite (100%) / None

Toss a Librascope to uncover five targets. You need to take out the Turrets and Hulls first - each one destroyed will cause the main body to suffer 88200 points of damage. We suggest that you go after the missile turrets first, and then the hulls. The boss opens up the battle with its Main Cannon, but the damage will be promptly reduced due to Sentinel from Fang. Wait for Hope to toss Protect and Shell on everyone, then keep switching between and to eradicate the missile turrets. Heal with Potions only for now - when you see the Skytank ready its Main Cannon again, switch to .

After all attachments are destroyed, only the main body remains with less than 20% HP. Keep attacking it! When you bring its HP to 73500 and below, it will change modes - the impossible Chain Gauge drops from 999,9% to a much more manageable 200%, and its chain resistance is completely gone. However, from this moment on and until it’s defeated, it’ll keep shooting you with the Main Cannon for about 200 damage to everyone. Potions are still a good idea for a push to victory.

Beating the boss gives you Plautus’s Workshop Key Item, which opens up the seventh shop at Save Stations.

Six people, from very different backgrounds, get thrown together in a series of tumultuous events. A Pulse fal’Cie (a demi-god) has been found in the seaside town of Bodhum, a place where the fates of everyone converge and the discovery sets in motion a chain of events that will change the world forever. An innocent fireworks display in the town soon turns nasty when government soldiers storm the peaceful celebration and commit everyone to the Purge (sending individuals “contaminated” by the Pulse fal’Cie into exile). This is where your story and legend begins. Can you fight fate?
