Chapter 9 - The Palamecia

Chapter 9 - The Palamecia

Rotary Shaft

Enemy Encounters

Name Notes
Flanitor Low HP; heals injured allies.
Flanborg Immune to Lightning but double damage for Water; Deshell/Deprotect vulnerability.
Vespid Soldier Immune to Wind; very dangerous Aeroga attack.
Thermadon Massive damage resistance until Staggered then very weak; powerful Photon Burst attack.

This large area holds four Spheres, all of which require you to fight enemies before you can retrieve them. Go right first and fight off the Vespid Soldiers. While not dangerous on their own, in numbers, or with a high HP enemy, they can become incredibly dangerous if they all use Aeroga in quick succession. Take them out as a matter of priority.

Run to the next group of two Raiders and a Thermadon. Take out the Raiders first and then Stagger the Thermadon so you can bring it down quickly. On the little path where the Thermadon was is a White Cape . Run around to the opposite side of the outer ring (the left side), while fighting your way through enemies, and pick up the Pain Dampener then head for the central ring.

White Cape (left) and Pain Dampener (right) locations.

The two Spheres on opposite sides contain Rhodochrosite and a Perfect Conductor , both of which are good components for upgrading. Head for the waypoint once you’ve finished in here to proceed with the story.
