Tours

Tours are special sidequests that are related to your friends and usually trigger whenever you spend the night at a specific camping spot. If you trigger it, your friend will come up to you and asks you to help them out with something early in the morning. There are three Tours from each party member and each one will reward you with a whopping 20 AP, making them very nice to help fill out the Ascension Grid.

Stirred, Not Shaken

Cotisse Haven can be found just north of Hammerhead. Ignis will ask you to help him make breakfast, with your task being to stir whatever is in the pot. Do this by rotating the left analog stick and although you should maintain a certain rhythm, it doesn’t matter in the long run, as you will still get the 20 AP no matter the results.

The Chopping Block

Fallaughins Haven is located just east of where Saxham Outpost is marked on your map in Duscae. Another task is asked of you from Ignis, this time being to cut some vegetables. When the button prompt comes up on the screen, repeatedly press it until it goes away, then do it once more when the button appears.

Case of the Stolen Specs

Pectriche Haven is located inside of The Myrlwood dungeon. Once more, Ignis asks you to help out with breakfast, but something goes awry when morning comes. It seems that a black chocobo came near the camp and stolen Ignis’ glasses. Head to the marker on the map to track down the spectacle-stealing bird, where Ignis will distract it with some greens. Basically, you need to sneak towards the tree while holding the Square/X button when the Chocobo is busy, then stop moving whenever he is looking around. When you get close enough, press Circle/B to grab the glasses, then flee to the designated spot to finish.

Slowly make your way towards the tree (left), pressing Square/X whenever the Chocobo looks around to stay silent (right).

Rise and Shine and Run

Lachyrte Haven is located right by Galdin Quay. Gladio asks you to train with him on the beach at the crack of dawn. Follow Gladio until you learn that it will be a footrace between the two of you. Despite the fact that Gladio takes off and is fast, he slows down a lot and fully expects you to bypass him. It is very hard to lose this race and you can use the stamina trick when sprinting to keep a full sprint throughout the race.

A Flower for Iris

Lambath Haven is located just northeast of The Ravatoghan Trail parking spot. Gladio asks for a favor, as he wants to do something for his sister, Iris. He wants you to get a particular flower that only blooms at dawn that’s indigenous to the area. Head towards the marker and look for the treasure spot that’s right next to the marker, which should prompt Gladio to point out the flower in question. He says he’ll give you a boost, so approach him to get launched to the flower’s location. That ends the tour, but if you talk with Iris at Cape Caem after the fact, there will be an extra scene and you’ll get a Moogle Charm accessory out of it.

Liege of the Lake

Capitis Haven is located just next to The Vesperpool parking spot. Gladio mentions that there is a famous fish that is located at a nearby fishing hole, with no one ever having reeled it in. Before you do this, it’s a very smart idea to at least finish the Navyth line of sidequests to get the Tranquility rod, as well as get the Llymlaen reel from the Totomostro mini-game in Altissia. While you can get your fishing skill to level 10, it isn’t necessary, but getting it to level 8 will help in reeling in this “veritable monster.”

Other things you will want is a fresh Dragon’s Beard line and a Giant Needle 10,000: Gold Gigantuar lure. The fish you are looking for is the Noble Arapaima and it sometimes appears on the minimap, although sometimes it doesn’t. You will know you have it when you see the fish’s stamina going down very slow. If you’ve reeled in the Devil of the Cygilian, then you want to use similar tactics with this fish. Reel in when the fish isn’t struggling, then when the controller is shaking a lot, stop reeling and always keep your rod going in the same direction the fish is swimming.

Your prized catch after all of that hard work!

The Hallowed Hill of Hammerhead

Palmaugh Haven is located southeast of Hammerhead. It appears Noctis wants to take a picture of the Hammerhead, or rather a certain someone at Hammerhead. Head on over to the marker and when you get there, Prompto will get ready to take a picture, only to have Cindy herself show up. Choose the dialog options of Hike, Oh y’know, and the Grandpa option to have Prompto in a picture with Cindy.

Up Close and Personal

Pullmoor Haven is located southwest of Coernix Station - Alstor. Prompto needs you help with some pictures he wants to take in the morning. The picture he wants is that of the Catoblepas, but you’ll need to gather some mushrooms first to lure it closer to land. Go into the search area and Prompto will pretty much find the three mushrooms for you. With them in hand, head on over to the slough and you’ll act as bait, holding the mushrooms until the Catoblepas gets close enough. You only have one chance for the photo and when you feel like you’re ready, strike a pose. After you’re finished, escape or kill the Catoblepas (it is like level 38, so you might not be strong enough, especially with only two party members).

Strike a Run Pose!

Spelcray Haven is located to the west of Cape Caem. Prompto has decided to become a professional photographer and asks you to pose for him for some pictures. Head on down to the dock and when Prompto is ready to take a picture, strike a pose by hitting one of the designated buttons. It doesn’t really matter which pose you do, as any will do.

After a years-long cold war between the Kingdom of Lucis and the empire of Niflheim over the world’s last crystal, an armistice is finally agreed upon. As part of the peace treaty, the heir to the Lucian throne Noctis Lucis Caelum is to marry Lady Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, an oracle from the imperial province of Tenebrae. After Noctis sets out to meet his betrothed, the treaty collapses. Merely a ruse to bring down the magical barrier protecting Lucis, Niflheim invades and takes the kingdom and the crystal for itself. With the treaty in tatters and his father and betrothed believed dead, Noctis must rely on his own tenacity and the support of his band of loyal followers to get him through what is to come.
