Class Breakdown Part 1

Lord

A class reserved for pivotal nobles such as Chrom. It’s nothing special right now, but at least it’s solid enough to hold its own ground.

Great Lord

With well-rounded stats and the powerful Aether ability, this is a good class to be if your name is Chrom or Lucina. Be sure to pick up Rightful King to make Aether (and other trigger skills) more reliable.

Tactician

Usually guiding armies from the rear, these Tacticians are strong enough to fight on the front lines. Veteran by itself makes this a class with incredible potential. If you can be a Tactician, you can also Reclass to practically every class too!

Grandmaster

No complaints here; this is an upgraded Cavalier with well-rounded stats. No Fire Emblem army is complete without one (or two).

Great Knight

A heavily-kitted knight on horseback. It has amazing Strength and Defence and decent movement, making it a true terror of the battlefield. If their attacks don’t hurt for some reason, Luna will fix that.

General

Myrmidon

A swift and skiful wielder of the blade. Their attacks aren’t threatening by themselves, but with their exceptional Speed you can expect them to Double Attack time and time again. Vantage is also a nice skill to learn.

Swordmaster

A master of the blade feared for their lightning speed and reflexes. Their Astra ability lets them perform a flurry of attacks for 2.5 times more damage overall; not bad for just a swordsman.

Assassin

This fearsome contractor spells doom for its enemies with its blazing stats and one-hit-kill Lethality ability. They are a tad fragile, but what’s dead can’t hurt you. Also, how do you fancy walking straight past enemy units?

Mercenary

This rugged battle veteran is more than a little adept with the blade. Compared to Myrmidons, they are slower, but win out in terms of raw power. Armsthrift is also the number one reason to become a Mercenary; your weapons never lasted so long!

Hero

The name says it all. This upgraded Mercenary scarcely has any weaknesses, unless you’re forcing one to be a wizard. Sol is excellent for keeping your characters alive too. Who says you can’t be a Hero and Vampire at the same time?
