There are a ton of different leisure activities to do in Somniel. Many of them revolve around becoming closer with your allies, while others are all about helping strengthen your army in Fire Emblem Engage. As you progress further into the story, more things for you to do in Somniel will begin to unlock. The last of the leisure activities that you will unlock is fortune telling. The guide below tells you when you will unlock it, at what times you can use fortune telling, and what fortune telling does in Fire Emblem Engage.
The location of fortune telling in Fire Emblem Engage.
When Does The Fortune Teller Unlock in Fire Emblem Engage?
Fortune telling is the very last activity that you will unlock in Somniel. You won’t be able to use this service until you rescue Seadall in Chapter 15. After you have completed this chapter and brought him back to Somniel, you will be able to use fortune telling.
Why Can’t I Find The Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage?
If you can’t find the location of Seadall’s shop at first, don’t panic. Fortune telling is only available at night time in Somniel. If you need to change the time, go to Alear’s room to rest until it is dark outside. Once you go back to the map, you will see the icon for fortune telling pop up just up from the poolside. Walk up the path, and you will see
Seadall standing outside of his shop, which is glowing purple. A short cutscene will play, and then you will be able to get the fortunes of your allies read by him.
What Does The Fortune Teller Do in Fire Emblem Engage?
While it may not appear to do anything at first, reading a character’s fortune can help you increase support experience. To do this, read a chosen ally’s fortune. The unit they are thinking of is who you should pair them up for your next battle.
Yunaka's fortune being read in Fire Emblem Engage.
As seen in the picture above, the unit Yunaka is thinking of is clearly displayed in a box marked “thinking of.” The rest of the text is just for fun, however, so don’t be tricked into thinking that fortune telling triggers any special events. The unit each ally is thinking about changes after each battle, so be sure to make use of this feature each time you return to Somniel.
