Niles

Cruel to be Kind.

A Nohrian former thief serving as Leo’s retainer. He grew up as an impoverished orphan. Appears relaxed and mature, but flirts with everyone to see them react. Does the most stargazing.

Niles, the gay option for the male Avatar, joins too late and is too weak. Similar to his retainer partner Odin, Niles is left with unbalanced stats whereas Leo, who joins at the same time as him, is already promoted and much more powerful. In Revelations you have other options for archers as well, which was his biggest selling point in Conquest. But now that you have Takumi and his divine bow, Niles falls to the wayside. All the other Ninjas even have Locktouch, taking away another one of his unique skills in Conquest .

Unless you want to build up a powerful Nina (who cannot be recruited if he marries male Avatar), there is little reason to invest in Niles.
