Cannot be Overridden. The Corruptor is one of two machines that you won’t find while free-roaming the map, as they are encountered only during quests. The Corruptor is quite agile and uses that to its advantage in combat, as it constantly moves around, making it hard to hit its weak spots. It also uses this agility to spring some attacks on you, such as charging at you or jumping into the air to try and land on you. In addition, it can use its tail to pick up rocks to toss in your direction. The most dangerous aspect of the Corruptor comes from the launchers (grenade on its left and spike on its right) on its shoulders.

One of the first things you should do is remove both launchers, either with high damage weapons or by using Tearblast Arrows. This makes the battle much more manageable once they are removed. When you’ve done that, switch to the Corruptor’s fatal weakness, fire arrows. Not only is it weak to fire, but it also causes the machine to overheat, revealing its Heat Core in between its eyes. Hitting this will cause some major damage to the machine and make the battle a breeze.
