Mightier than the Sword

By

This quest can be acquired from the Rattay Bailiff. Speak with him about where you can learn to read. He will suggest that you visit the scribe in Uzhitz. The scribe is usually in the same house as the bailiff, which can now be seen marked on the map. When you find the scribe you will have to pay 50 Groschen for your lessons.

Speak with the scribe to initiate a cut scene in which he teaches you the basics of reading.

Once the cut scene ends, you will have to read the book on the table and take note of what it contains. After reading it go back to the scribe and when he asks you what the book contained, choose the following dialogue option:

– That being greedy doesn’t pay.

Next he will ask you to read the book in Latin, which can be found propped up to the right of the English one. Read it and return to the scribe. When he asks you what the book contained, choose the middle option as shown in the image below.

Choose the middle option, the only one without bits of English coming through.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open-world RPG set in the last throes of the Middle Ages. The year is 1403 and the Kingdom of Bohemia is about to be plunged into turmoil. Henry, a resdient of the castle town Skalitz, is the son of a renowned blacksmith. When Skalitz is attacked, both of his parents are killed by the invading forces of Hungarian King Sigismund, led by Sir Markvart von Aulitz. Henry’s quest then becomes your own; to exact vengeance upon those who destroyed his hometown, friends and family. Along the way, Henry finds himself embroiled in the affairs of the great lords in the region. Rather than give in to the hatred fueled by the death of his boyhood, Henry decides to become a man and help in any way that he can against the ramifications of the assault on Skalitz.
