N7: Communication Hub

By
Claire Farnworth

Fly across to the Kepler Verge ** galaxy and there’s only one system and one planet you can access in here, so land to begin this mission. Take Tali and whoever else packs the type of firepower that compliments Tali’s.

Tali is perfect for the Communication Hub mission so bring her along if you can.

Disarm the First Hacking Device

You’ll land into a hot zone, so immediately take cover behind the panel to your left and use this vantage point to overlook the ladder in front of you and into the other end of the open area (this is where most of the enemies in this wave will come from). Only drop down into the central area once all of the Cerebus troops have been disposed of.

In the middle area, there’s a Med-Kit on the ground for XP and gel. There’s also some red barrels under the central tower you can scan for 4,000 Credits . Just around the corner from the barrels is an Ariake Technologies Greaves case.

The hacking panel is located just up ahead at the back of the base, in between the two ramps that lead from the central tower to the ramp that leads to the lower, open area.

You can find the hacking panel in this location.

Disarm the Second Hacking Device

Stopping the first hack will alert plenty of Cerberus troops to your location; there will now be a couple of Nemesis snipers as well as the usual Centurions and Assault Troopers. The Nemesis should appear from the left-hand walkway of the central reservation, so keep cover here and drop them before they have a chance to retaliate.

Keep hammering the other troops with your teams combined biotic powers along with your firepower or biotic powers of your own. Once they’re all dead, head back to the lower dusty area and run up the ramp in the top right corner.

Immediately on your left (after running up the ramp to the second panel), there’s a terminal you can scan for Cerberus Ciphers (these are required to complete the side mission Citadel: Cerberus Ciphers ). Now go and disable the hacking panel located opposite, and around the corner, of the cipher’s location.

Collect the Cerberus Ciphers from the terminal here.

Get ready for an appearance by a Phantom - as before if you have an SMG you can let it get close, dive out of the way of its melee attack and then immediately retaliate with rapid-firing bullets to her body. Infiltrators can have an easier time; let her spot you, then cloak, throwing her off your scent. Immediately line up her head in your sniper rifle… and BAM! One headless Phantom with one bullet.

Now it’s a case of covering the central tower where the last panel is located (there’s also a Medical Station up here if you need it). Several Nemesis and Centurions need to be taken care of and they’ll try to congregate in the central tower where the panel is, so snipe them from outside, or get up close and dirty with them (depending on your weapon and power setup). Once they’re dead, deactivate the final panel to complete the mission and bag your +5 Reputation points and 10,000 Credits .
