Questing Voeld

Settling Voeld

By the time you start this quest you should be done with just about everything on Voeld… if you’ve been following this guide sequentially, anyways. That being the case, you should be able to found an outpost on Voeld, which not only reaps great rewards in itself, but it’ll make exploring the south easier in general, and the southwest in particular, as it’ll add an extra fast travel point and shelters you can warm up in. Head to the outpost site, which is southeast of both the Resistance Base and Hjara Station, southwest of Techiix Station.

Keep in mind that you need 40% Voeld viability to set up an outpost, and an invitation from Eska Yeveth following the quest "Uncovering the Past" would be nice, too. If you’re following this guide you should easily have 40% viability (perhaps as much as 60% if you’ve done everything). Anyways, assuming you have the viability use the Outpost Beacon and a hologram of Addison will bother you, after which the outpost will appear through the powers of space magic. This is worth 1,600 AVP and +20% Voeld viability.

In addition to all those other benefits outlined above, you can now talk to the mayor of this outpost - Priya Blake - to start the quest "Missing Science Crew"… which honestly is probably a task you want to save for later. You can now also work on the Voeld phase of the quest "Task: Boosting the Signal". Most importantly this outpost makes tackling quests like "Restoring a World" and "Strange Beacon" easier. Time to get to work, then! Oh, but first, be sure to search a table north, northeast of Priya Blake to find a Turian Frigate Model - a fine addition to your collection.
