Questing Voeld

Questing Voeld

Task - Clearing the Air

Another one of Voeld’s many "find randomly spawning quest objects at unmarked Kett camps" quests, this quest will start when you find a Console in a Kett camp. Again, the Kett camps are unmarked, and the Consoles you’re looking for will randomly spawn, so this quest is best done while working on other, more reliable quests. After scanning the first one, you’ll need to find two more, and once all three are scanned SAM will be able to triangulate a control center.

Clear out unmarked Kett camps (left) and search for randomly-spawning consoles (right) to start and advance this quest.

This control center is north of the Forward Station east of Hjara Station… the Northern Holding Station, where you freed the Angaran captives during the quest "Stage a Rescue". Return to the abandoned Kett complex, enter a structure and use a Console on a wall, which naturally provokes a Kett ambush. You’ll be attacked by a sizeable squad of Kett, including Chosen, Anointed and Destined, but fortunately the building you’re in is a fine place from which to mount a defense. Just guard the doors (mostly north) and when the Kett are vanquished you and SAM will discuss the Kett’s bait. Too bad they went fishing with a golden hook, and tried to catch something beyond their means.

Return to the Console on the wall and use it to open the nearby door to the south, then use another Console in the room to the south to hinder the Kett’s aerial deployment capabilities. For completing this task you’ll earn 23 AVP, +2% Voeld viablity and 530 XP.

Defeat the Kett ambush (left) then turn off the Kett console to hinder their shuttle deployment operations on Voeld (right).
