Plum Daimyo Hermitaur

By
Vincent Lau

Plum Daimyo Hermitaur is clad in a brilliant purple hide, instead of pink, and instead of Daimyo Hermitaur’s preference for Monoblos skulls, lives in the skull of a departed Diablos. Plum Daimyo Hermitaur also has greater mastery over its water skills, but similar to Daimyo Hermitaur, still finds the Dunes to be its primary home.

Location Start Roam Rest
Primal Forest 3 1, 4, 5 9
Dunes 7 1, 2, 4 3

Attacks

Plum Daimyo Hermitaur has increased its sneakiness skills, and will often try to walk around behind you to hit you from behind. Keep your camera on constant rotation (or just press the L shoulder button a lot) so that you can keep track of its whereabouts. Plum Daimyo Hermitaur also makes use of its water jet a lot more often, and it hits a lot harder too.

180 Claw Swipe: Plum Daimyo Hermitaur will raise its claw, then twist around 180 degrees and swipe at you to catch you off guard. It is capable of chaining this attack twice.

Semicircular Bubble Jet: Plum Daimyo Hermitaur will fire off a water jet in two flavors. The first is shared with Daimyo Hermitaur and involves walking in a straight line. The second is unique to Plum Daimyo Hermitaur. It will walk in a semicircle around you, making it trickier to dodge.

Breakable Parts

Shell: Plums Daimyo Hermitaur also has two breaks on its shell, but owing to the difference in skull, it will look different. Breaking the shell the first time will knock one horn off the Diablos, and the second break knocks the second horn off.

Weaknesses

Elemental: Ice

Status: Poison, Blast
