Speio, a priestess in training, must complete her training by travelling to Leucippes’ Labyrinth and listening to the whisperings of something called the Sea God’s Trumpet. Note that to fully complete this quest, you will need the Rejuvenate spell from Evermore Spellworks, which requires Leander’s skill, so you’ll have to put him into the facility in order to research it. Anyway, you won’t need Rejuvenate just yet, so teleport to Leucippes’ Labyrinth to find Speio a bit east of the trip door.
Bug: There is a major bug with this quest if you are not on Patch version 1.02 or later, as if you’ve already learned Rejuvenate prior to finishing this quest, then you won’t be able to finish it.
Unfortunately, upon speaking with Speio, the ghosts on the island are interfering with her powers, so you’ll need to do battle with them, in a skirmish. This one is level 16, so it shouldn’t be too rough on you, especially if your units are leveled anywhere near it or higher. One of the tougher parts, though, is that you’ll start off surrounded by enemies. You’ll have one spear unit, one hammer, one archer and three irregular units all around you. More units (one spear, one archer and two irregulars) will appear to the south after defeating the first batch.
Yet more will spawn to the south once more, consisting of one spear and three irregular units. The third wave will just have a single spear unit, but as soon as you defeat it, an army will appear. You will have five sword units, four of which are level 16, two hammers, one archer, one sorcerer and lastly, two irregulars. Take it slow and don’t be afraid to retreat a little bit, as you can always recover your troops and go back in when needed.
You’ll receive the Sea God’s Trumpet after the skirmish, but Speio cannot hear anything, so you decide to head back to Callianeira in Hydropolis. It seems the trumpet has lost its power over the years, and the only real solution is to turn back time somehow. That’s where Rejuvenate comes in, so you will need to research that at the Spellworks in Evermore. Once you have the spell, return to Speio to restore the power of the trumpet and finish the quest.
