Taking Out Team Plasma

Taking Out Team Plasma

Plasma Frigate (Black 2)

After teleporting, you’ll be immediately stopped by another Grunt, but he’ll just talk to you and won’t challenge you to a battle. Let’s head south-west and take the Grunt there on.

Another thing: once you've stepped on a switch on a pipe, it will remain depressed until you press another switch. So if switch A is depressed, pressing switch B will make switch A pop out again.

Trainer Battle: Team Plasma Grunt

Pokemon Level Type
Skorupi 45 Poison/Bug
Foongus 45 Grass/Poison
Golbat 45 Poison/Flying

Once the Grunt’s been defeated, he’ll give you a hint about the password required to continue north. To complicate matters, the password can be the name of a Pokemon or a numeric code . Whelp, looks like you can’t cheat by looking up the password online…

Anyway, the hint you’re given is that the password is either the name of a Legendary Pokemon from Unova or a numeric code and he’ll state what the second digit is. That’s not a lot to go on right now, but you’re bound to receive more hints. Either way, you’d better write this down somewhere.

Next, move back north-east and instead head south-east to the Grunt there to take him on too.

Pokemon Level Type
Krookodile 47 Ground/Dark

This guy offers no hints, so ignore him and move south. Then move onto the walkway to the south. You’ll step on a button and the walkways will move. Now head west, then north. Grab the Zinc there, then head south all the way to the platform on the other side. Head east along this platform. Take on the Grunt here.

Pokemon Level Type
Raticate 47 Normal
Watchog 47 Normal

Move over and talk to the Doctor to take him on.

Trainer Battle: Doctor

Pokemon Level Type
Leavanny 49 Bug/Grass

After defeating the Doctor, he’ll heal your Pokemon . Awesome! Come back any time for healing! Head down the steps to the north leading down to the lower area. Move north, then east and you’ll find a Power Band . Return to the Doctor, then head west to the other side of the platform and battle the Grunt there.

Pokemon Level Type
Krokorok 47 Ground/Dark
Krookodile 47 Ground/Dark

Grab the Max Revive and the Max Elixir to his south-west. Move north and head down the stairs to the lower level. Follow the path created north until you reach the Grunt at the end. Talk to her to battle her.

Pokemon Level Type
Trubbish 46 Poison
Zangoose 46 Normal

Even if you've figured out the password, you can't input it without this Key Item.

The Grunt will give you the Plasma Card , yes! You’ll need to this enter the password, so keep it someplace handy. At this stage, you don’t have enough clues to figure out the password, so let’s keep going and beat up more Grunts until someone confesses.

Head south and move back up the steps. Walk along the walkway next to the top of the stairs and press the button. Move east, then south back onto the main platform to the south. Head west and move back down the steps to the lower area. Follow the created path west to the first Grunt you can battle here.

Trainer Battle: Team Plasma Grunt

Pokemon Level Type
Scolipede 47 Bug/Poison

Upon defeat, this Grunt will reveal the Pokemon’s second type , if the password is a Pokemon. Or, if the password is a number, he’ll be less than helpful and say his favourite number is 0 . Um, thanks? Well, chances are there’s a 0 in the password somewhere (spoilers: there is).

Continue north to the very end and battle the Grunt there.

Trainer Battle: Team Plasma Grunt

Pokemon Level Type
Scrafty 47 Dark/Fighting

Ooh another hint! If the password is a Pokemon, you’ll learn the Pokemon’s type . On the other hand, if the password is a number, you’ll be told that the password has four numbers and three of the numbers are the same . Better jot this down…

Backtrack back to the steps. Move back up them. Now move down the centre of the three walkways leading north. Move past the first intersection to the second one and head east. Move over and press the button. Now move south and press the next button.

Head west, then south, back onto the south platform. Move down the eastern steps to the level below. Head east and take on the Grunt there.

Trainer Battle: Team Plasma Grunt

Pokemon Level Type
Drapion 47 Poison/Dark

This time you’ll either be told the colour of the Pokemon or the last number . Head north until you reach the final Grunt.

Trainer Battle: Team Plasma Grunt

Pokemon Level Type
Grimer 46 Poison
Seviper 46 Poison

For your final hint you’ll learn the first letter or first number of the password. Okay, it should be pretty clear what the password is by now, but if not then be sure to refer to your notes. In any case, it’s time to head back.

Move back south and move up the steps. Heal your Pokemon by talking to the Doctor, if you need to. Take the centre walkway again, this time heading west at the first intersection and moving onto the button. Now head south, back to the main south platform.

Take the centre walkway again, but this time take the first intersection east. Move onto the button at the next intersection. Now move north and stand on the button there. Now move west, then south and head back to the south platform.

Move onto the western walkway and press the button at the first intersection. Now move east, north, east and stand on the next button. Continue north off onto the north platform. Head back to the teleportation pad and move over to the PC to the north-west of it.

If the password is a Pokemon, it doesn't matter what case you use. So if "Zekrom" is the answer, something like "ZEKROM" would be okay too. Or even "zEKrOm".

You’ll be able to input the password, assuming you have the Plasma Card. If it’s a Pokemon, the password will be Reshiram , Zekrom or Kyurem (case-insensitive). Meanwhile, if it’s a number, the password will be ##0# , where # are all the same number.

For example, if you’ve been told that any of the numbers is 7, then the password will be 7707. Succeed and the barrier will be removed.
