Dragonspiral Tower

Background

A looming, towering structure from a bygone era. Said to be the oldest tower in Unova; nobody knows of its history. But if its name is any clue, it’s bound to be related to dragons.

Points of Interest

  • Just before the entrance to the tower itself, you can Surf into the water from the gap in the pillars to the right of the bridge. On the other side, you can find additional items, plus two Ace Trainers to combat.

Guide

It’s really easy to miss, but you can Surf past the broken pillar on the right.

Head toward the tower and Bianca will catch up when you meet the Professor’s father again, he will give you Old Gateau after a quick talk. We’re not going to ponder on why he had cake in his pockets for too long.

Once you’re ready, run forward through the entrance and then into the tower. Follow the path to the left and feel the tower shake, head up. Head left around the fallen pillar and follow the path in an upside-down U. Once at the ‘dead end’ run up the damaged pillar and then follow the bridge to the left and take the exit.

Welcome to a jumpy puzzle, every time you hit a jump you’ll be unable to return and stuck on your chosen path. The route you need to take is down, bottom path, bottom path, up, and then simply run left and up the stairs.

You’ve caught up with Team Plasma! Leave Cheren to struggle with these first guys and head down to find your own fight.

Ores such as Stardust can be sold to the gentleman in Icirrus City’s Pokemon Centre.

With the grunts dealt with, head up the next staircase.

In this room, dubbed the ‘rotating room’, you need to navigate a simple puzzle by taking the correct one way jumps. Run right, up, right, up, left, up when you come to the bridge, right taking the jump, then down, left, down, right, down, then finally head left and up the stairs.

Follow the path around and you’ll soon confront Team Plasma in four fights with no down time, the scoundrels.

With them dispatched, head south and up the stairway. You’ll now get to meet a legendary Pokémon in the guise of "Zekrom" IconZekrom or "Reshiram" IconReshiram, depending on your version. The meeting is swift however as N has tamed the beast! You will then be escorted outside the tower.
