World Bowser-7: Grumblump Inferno

This can be one of the most frustrating levels if you don’t understand the concept of Grumblumps. These blocks rotate and jumping is a big no-no if you want to stay on them. Instead, follow the moles lead of walking slowly as the Grumblump rolls over and you magically stick to it. Practice makes perfect, so don’t get frustrated.

Start off by crossing the first two Grumblumps down into the lower level. This one makes a trip past some Fire Piranha Plants but as long as you walk with the Grumblump you won’t get shot. Leap to the tiny pillar for Green Star #1 then leap back as the Grumblump rolls past to continue your pattern.

At the bottom you get a short breather with a Super Leaf inside the ? Block and some Hammer Bros. ahead. Pass them up and use the Jump Panels to reach the Checkpoint Flag where the difficulty ramps up. Hop on the Grumblump here, it takes one rotation then slides down, then rotates once again before making it’s turn. At this point you need to jump off and onto the Hammer Bro to collect the Stamp then land back on the pillar.

Leap to the pillar from the Grumblump for the first Star (left). Jump off again and onto the Hammer Bro for the Stamp (right).

Wait for the Grumblump to come back around where it does a final flip and slides down the lava ramp. This next area bring Splorches out so dodge them on your way to the Green Star Ring and Green Star #2 . The final path has a large Grumblump that rolls every which way. When the moles jump on you’ll have to do the unthinkable and actually jump up so you can get Green Star #3 .

Hop through the ring and grab all the green coins for a Star (left). Jump from the Grumblump to the final Star as it goes past (right).

The Grumblump slides down the ramp at the end and stands on end so its at its tallest, you need to do a long jump at max speed to cap the Goal Pole (or use a Cat Suit/Tanooki Suit).
