World Castle-2: Switchblack Ruins

This level is played primarily in the dark but you can certainly light your way with braziers and fireballs. From the start loop around to a ? Block with a Fire Flower that you’ll want to use.

Lighting the Way: You can use the GamePad to touch spots and light them up if you can’t see.

Step on the Switch Panels in the next room to light it up and reveal the exit. Another Fire Flower is available just outside as well as a brazier. Continue to another room with some enemies. It may seem that certain spots are holes but there are no holes in this room so just run around and light the Switch Panels.

In the next room you’ll find some Spinies, defeat them and light the four braziers to reveal Green Star #1 . Turn the corner to the Checkpoint Flag and a Fire Flower then continue right, crawling through the narrow path for an easy pick up of Green Star #2 .

Light all four braziers to earn a Star (left). Continue past the obvious opening to a small room containing a Star (right).

Now head into the other room with Switch Panels on both sides, just avoid the enemies and light the room up to exit. Another Fire Flower awaits outside this room but it’s different here, the room is lit pretty well with the lava. Ride the platform to the Stamp then enter the difficult room of this level. There are Piranha Plants and Galoombas impeding your progress so try to shoot them with fireballs as you light the room up with the Switch Panels. Don’t take the pipe at the end, instead hit the invisible blocks at the back wall and leap up to Green Star #3 first.

Ride a platform to the Stamp (right). the final star can be found above the final Warp Box (right).
