World Star-3: Rolling Ride Run

By
Jarrod Garripoli

This level will involve logs that roll along a track, but you will need to move them by standing on the ends of them. At the beginning, there is a hidden ?-Block on the right side of the wall right next to you, which contains a Super Mushroom. Jump on the log and stand on its right side to make it start moving to the right, ignoring the Goombas along the way to the end. Keep continuing right until you come to two logs, with some bricks along the back wall. The right set of bricks will have one that yield a Boomerang Flower, which is useful in this stage. Return to the front of the two logs and move to the end, where you can jump to an alcove with a Mystery Box.

(1 of 2) Enter the Mystery Box here to find the first Green Star

Enter the Mystery Box here to find the first Green Star (left), The second Green Star will be on the roller here (right)

Inside the bonus room, just run to the right until you can jump up and grab Green Star #1. After exiting it, you will find some Conkdors ahead, which the boomerang can make short work of if you have it. At the end, jump into the Warp Box and touch the Checkpoint Flag. Hop onto the next set of rolling logs and when you get to the one with another notched on its side, run around it until you can get Green Star #2. The next rolling log will be a bit of a doozy, as you will have to contend with both Stingbies and Blurkers, while also navigating around walls. Make sure you grab the power-up from the ?-Block before jumping on the log.

Go around the first wall, then you will see two paths to the right. The larger one continues the level, while the smaller passage will lead to a character switch with a star on it. This is for Rosalina, so if you’re not using her, come back with her to hit the switch and get the Stamp. Make your way past some more enemies and another wall, stopping when you see the three Conkdors really close to one another. There is another smaller platform to the left that has a single Conkdor on it, so jump to that one to find an invisible ?-Block that has a Double Cherry. Keeping the clone for this next part can be quite difficult and although it is needed, you could always call in another character for player 2 to help.

(1 of 2) You have to use Rosalina to get the Stamp in this level

You have to use Rosalina to get the Stamp in this level (left), You can simply call in another player to get the third Green Star (right)

Directly across from the three Conkdors is a trail of coins leading to an alcove in the back. Here, you will find a Multi-Vator that needs one additional character. If you still have the Double Cherry, simply jump on it and it will carry you up to collect Green Star #3. Not far to the right of where you got on the Multi-Vator will be the Goal Pole.
