Sapstrath Deepwood (Fractured)

Your goal is to reach the south end of the Deepwood, but there is still more treasure to get on the way. Head into the woods and climb through the hole and up the vines to a fork leading west or south, taking the south path.

Grab the chest with the Dingy Puffball and then zone to the enclosed section of the North Region for Milla’s Corrugated Blade . Backtrack to the fork and this time head west down the ledges to a chest with 16000 Gald and then zone to the North Region.

Ignore the western half of the North Region and head south under the tree, but instead of zoning to the south climb the vines to the north for a chest with a Veggie Sticks (Small) . Stay on the upper level and zone to the South Region to quickly grab the Savory on the north wall and then backtrack and take the other south exit to find Jiao.

It appears that the catalyst has led Jiao to do some very nasty things, although I suspect you saw that coming.

Question: Once I kill all of you, it’ll be like nothing ever happened!

  • L1 - Not a chance!
  • R1 - Elize, get back! (Elize Affinity +400)

Boss: Jiao (Catalyst)

Weakness: Wind, Gunfire

Although Jiao is on his own and is slow, his attacks are powerful when they hit. Luckily, he has a weakness for dual pistols so you should be able to take him on from afar and let the melee in your group act as bait. Focus on avoiding Jiao’s attacks and taking out his summoned pets and you should really have no problem with this battle.

After the fight Jiao will explain his actions and repeat his sentiments towards Elize before he dies. Back at the manor, Elize realizes why "Luna" did what she had to do and forgives her… also WTH no Bunnykins after all that.

Question: They’ve all got responsibilities, which means making choices that they didn’t like.

  • L1 - You should tell Luna what you just told us. (Elize Affinity + 100)
  • R1 - It's no big deal. Kids are supposed to be selfish. (Elize Affinity + 400)
