Afte the scene, head to the Inn and talk to the elder for a scene. When you’re ready, exit through the east gate for a scene that reveals some interesting information and warrants some questions. When the scenes end you can now access the World Map to fast travel to locations.
After getting the World Map you should get two skits, even if you head straight to Hamil.
You should also get the skit Storing Mana and Alvin’s Secret .
Additionally, if you re-enter Nia Khera and head for the northwest exit you can talk to Ivar for the sub event Ivar the Shaman , which proves that Alvin was lying about his intentions for returning.
