Shrouded Shrine

There is a bridge leading into Typhlo Ruins, but you can Paraglide from anywhere, like here
This is how Typhlo Ruins appears on the map

This Shrine Quest is activated and takes place in Typhlo Ruins, north of the Korok Forest. It is marked on your map and looks like a giant, dark green blob so it should be fairly easy to find and pin. You can enter the Typhlo Ruins from anywhere, but there is a bridge that leads to the formal entrance.

If you approach Typhlo Ruins from the Eldin region and Paraglide from the point shown, the route to the Shrine is extremely short. Just beware, because as soon as you have reached a certain point in the air, the monk will speak with you and the area will turn pitch black. Once you have regained control of Link, keep Paragliding! Don’t drop because you will fall into the mud and die.

The trick to this place is that because the area is pitch dark, you need a way to shine light. You can accomplish this through fire weapons like the Flameblade, or a Torch. If you do not have a Torch, there are Torches scattered all over the place. There is one right at the entrance if you came via the bridge. Finally, if you are out of options but have Daruk’s Protection, it casts a dim light around you when activated.

The second trick to the Typhlo Ruins is all the bird statues. They act as torches you can light (and should) so that you do not lose your way. Similar to the Shrine Quest "The Silent Swordswomen" which you can click here to learn about if you’d like, the bird statues also hold the key to navigating this space. Go in the direction the bird’s beaks point. The next statue is never too far away.

Your goal is a glowing orange, flat pedestal that marks the presence of a Shrine. It is heralded by a pair of bird statues. Light them both. Now we need to find the orb to drop into the pedestal.

We chose to wake this giant beast and defeat it. The Hinox's eye glows in the darkness
Bring the orb to the pedestal

It is actually nearby, and it glows in the darkness. Unfortunately, it is also being held by a Hinox. You can sneak and grab the orb, or you can defeat the Hinox. If you choose to fight, the Hinox’s eye does glow in the darkness, making it an easy target. Either way, get the orb and drop it in the pedestal.

Nearby, the Ketoh Wawai Shrine will rise from the ground. Congratulations on braving Typhlo Ruins and completing this Shrine Quest!
