Shrine Quests

Shrine Quests

The Skull's Eye

You will need to have discovered the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab
This Shrine Quest is technically optional

The Skull’s Eye

Note: This Shrine Quest is optional, as it is totally possible for you to discover the Shrine on your own. If you do discover it before unlocking the Shrine Quest, the Adventure Log will mark it as completed the moment you do.

To get this Shrine Quest, talk to Jerrin who resides at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. It’s the lab that is owned by Robbie all the way out to the northeast area of the Akkala region. She will tell you about a Shrine in Skull Lake.

Continue around the lake to a higher vantage point
Then Paraglide to the Shrine

The best way to get to the Skull Lake is to go northwest from the East Akkala Stable. You can actually see the glow of the Shrine in the distance, and if you want to you can use your Sheikah Slate to pin it for you.

As you can see once you get closer, the Shrine is on top of an impossibly high stone column. You obviously can’t climb from the bottom of Skull Lake without a ton of stamina and stamina food/elixirs. Instead, notice how the east edge of the lake has a lot of sheer cliffs. You can Paraglide from there.

To make it even easier, use Revali’s Gale for more height. If you happen to be trying to complete this Shrine Quest and rain interrupts you, you definitely will want to use Revali’s Gale for a guaranteed flight to the Shrine.

Once you have activated Zuna Kai Shrine, the Shrine Quest will be marked as complete.
