Once you beat the Ghost-type gym, you will likely be making your way towards Alfornada to challenge Tulip. The only problem is that getting to the area can be a little complex based on where your at in the game. While it’s not bad if you’ve gotten climb from the Dodonzo fight. For those who aren’t doing the path of Legends or don’t have the means to take on a level 56 titan, things can be quite confusing. Below we go over how to reach Alfornada with and without climbing.
Reaching Alfornada With Climb¶
This is pretty simple, just teleport to the Pokemon center shown in the picture above at West Area One and run toward Alfornada. Eventually, you will run into mountains and use your climbing ability to scurry your way into the town. Keep in mind that it may take less time to go the traditional route from Cortondo.
Reaching Alfornada Without Climb¶
You are going to want to head back to the area around Cortondo. You won’t be able to get to Alfornada easily by going any other way, this is the shortest route. Here you will want to get across the river. You can do this by going above the area to jump or glide down. Here you will find a cave at the location shown on the map below. :::image-block-2

Go through the cave until you come to the dropoff point shown in the picture below. Remember that this game does not have fall damage, and there is no water below so you won’t need to worry about having to respawn.
You will follow this path all the way up until you get to Alfornada cave. This cave is a bit long to get through, but if you just keep following the path, you will exit in a few minutes. After you’re out, be sure to check into the local Pokemon center to get healed up for the upcoming gym battle. You will have to fight Nemona after entering the gym if this is your fifth battle, so you will want to be prepared.
