This is quest number three from Peony at Freezington. We’ll be heading for the Dyna Tree Hill in the center of Ballimere Lake, at the southernmost edge of the Crown Tundra. Before starting, you’ll need a bike that can traverse water (obtained from Route 9, after clearing the 6th gym).
If you completed the Regi quest, we suggest beginning your trek from Rock Peak Ruins, at the south-east corner of the Giant’s Bed. From the ruins, head back towards the southern part of the Giant’s Bed. After going through the bunch of trees, there’s a stream on the left.
Get on your bike and follow the stream further in. About halfway along, after the stream dips slightly, there’s a small area of land on the right. Over here, there’s a Life Orb up for grabs, as well as some hidden items by the bushes. Finally, near the end of the stream, disembark on the left to reach Ballimere Lake.

When you arrive from the Giant’s Bed, you should be able to see the giant tree in the near distance (you may need to adjust your camera). That’s where you want to go. Inch forward, then turn left and follow the dirt path for a short while. Keep an eye out for a slope going down on the right, just before the cave entrance.
Head down the slope and follow the path that’s in front. If you want to avoid the tall grass, go around from the right. Further ahead, there’s another cave entrance on the left. For now, turn right when you can. Then go along the straight path that leads up to Dyna Tree Hill.

As you transition into this zone, a cutscene will play. You’ll witness the Galarian versions of the Legendary bird trio. Once they notice you, the birds will scatter in different directions. Afterwards, you’ll pick up Peony’s call; he’ll officially declare the start of this quest.
Legendary Clue 3 will become updated. To recap, Galarian Articuno has been spotted in the Crown Tundra, Galarian Moltres is somewhere on the Isle of Armor and Galarian Zapdos is having the time of its life in the base game’s Wild Area. Needless to say, your goal is to find and catch all three birds.
Did we hear somebody say they wanted quick links to reach each individual bird?
- Galarian Articuno at the Crown Tundra
- Galarian Zapdos at the Wild Area
- Galarian Moltres at the Isle of Armor
While you’re here, feel free to look around near the giant tree. Around the back of the tree, you can pick up a TR66 Brave Bird. Also, why not give the massive tree a good shake (or several)? Something cool might happen if you do. Just be sure to have some fighting fit Pokémon!
